The new transom is shaped by pulling the bevels off the original.

The old transom is off. The edges of the planks are repaired where possible.

The clamps are removed from the new laminated transom.

The old transom is cut off using an air-powered hacksaw.

Supports are added to the inside of the hull to help in positioning the new transom.

The third layer is laminated onto the first two, using no fasteners.

The first two of three mahogany laminations are bent and glued over a form.
